McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is seeking an Legal Assistant for our Peachtree Corners, GA office. The ideal applicant will support firm operations by maintaining office systems, improving the flow of information and documents and managing the day-to-day efficiency of the office. Experience in a law office setting preferred. This is an in-office position. 

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain digital filing of case documents, mail and faxes within database systems; scanning and categorizing of incoming documents
  • Communicate effectively across the firm and across multiple locations
  • Interact with clients, vendors, partners and employees on a regular basis
  • Manage appointments and calendars for vendors, facility services and client closings
  • Learn and become proficient in legal case management software
  • Support partners, managers, paralegals and attorneys as needed
  • Operate office equipment such as scanners, computers, and photocopiers
  • Familiarity with client platforms utilized in Default Law preferred
  • Able to identify and properly handle Original Loan documents
  • Manage the FedEx Account for the firm
  • Monitor Office supply inventory and order when needed
  • Electronic filing and recording a plus

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in prioritizing high-volume/fast paced workload
  • Strong time management and organization skills and ability to be detail and process oriented
  • Excellent professional communication skills. Position requires interaction with all interoffice personnel, managers and attorneys as well as the clients and outside vendors
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other firm procedures and terminology
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service to include effective written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel
  • Experience with NitroPro a plus
  • Acquire knowledge of Client Management Systems upon hire

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 - 5 years in a professional office environment; prior law firm experience a plus
  • Notary Public preferred but not required
