The 3 month rule for jobs generally refers to a probationary period of three months during which an employer evaluates a new employee's performance and suitability for the role. For a Legal Assistant Two, this period often involves training, skill assessment, and determining ongoing employment status, with some companies requiring performance reviews at the end of this period.

Can an employer sue you for working two jobs?

In general, an employer cannot sue you solely for working two jobs, as long as both jobs comply with employment laws and do not violate any contractual agreements or non-compete clauses. Legal assistants or other employees should ensure their second job does not interfere with their primary job responsibilities or breach confidentiality agreements. Employers may take action if dual employment causes conflicts of interest or breaches company policies, but legal action is uncommon solely for holding two jobs.
