Many organizations also offer training on new technologies and encourage collaboration with IT or process improvement teams to modernize operations over time.

What is a Legacy Warehouse?

A Legacy Warehouse refers to a traditional storage facility or distribution center that typically uses older systems and processes for managing inventory and logistics. These warehouses may rely more on manual operations or outdated technology rather than modern automated or cloud-based solutions. Companies often operate legacy warehouses when transitioning to newer systems, or when certain products and workflows are better supported by established processes. Understanding the difference between legacy and modern warehouses can help businesses optimize their supply chain and plan upgrades. Updating a legacy warehouse can involve significant investment in technology, training, and change management.
