What professions make 200,000 a year without a degree?

In the tech industry, roles such as software engineers, data scientists, and product managers can earn $200,000 or more annually, often requiring strong coding skills, experience, and certifications rather than a formal degree. Other high-paying professions without a degree include sales directors, real estate brokers, and certain entrepreneurial roles, but these typically demand significant experience, networking, and skill development.

Does LeetCode get you a job?

LeetCode is a platform for practicing coding skills and preparing for technical interviews, which can improve your chances of securing a software engineering job. However, using LeetCode alone does not guarantee employment; success depends on overall skills, interview performance, and job market conditions.

What jobs use LeetCode?

LeetCode is commonly used by software engineering and developer roles to prepare for technical interviews. Jobs in fields such as software development, data science, and algorithm engineering often require strong coding skills tested through platforms like LeetCode. Proficiency in coding problems and algorithms is essential for these positions.

How can practicing coding problems on LeetCode help prepare for technical interviews in software engineering roles?

Practicing coding problems on LeetCode is an effective way to prepare for technical interviews because it closely mirrors the types of algorithmic and data structure challenges commonly asked by employers. Regularly solving these problems helps you develop problem-solving skills, improve coding efficiency, and become familiar with a variety of concepts that are essential in real-world software engineering. Additionally, LeetCode's discussion forums and mock interview features can help simulate real interview environments and provide valuable feedback. This consistent practice not only builds technical expertise but also boosts confidence when approaching actual interviews.

What is the difference between Leetcode vs Coding Interview Platforms?

AspectLeetcodeCoding Interview Platforms
PurposePractice coding problems for technical interviewsProvide a variety of coding challenges and mock interviews
CredentialsNo certifications, just practiceNo certifications, focus on skill development
Work EnvironmentOnline platform for individual practiceOnline or in-person mock interview settings
Industry UsageWidely used by job seekers preparing for tech interviewsUsed by both candidates and companies for interview prep

Leetcode is primarily a platform for practicing coding problems to prepare for technical interviews, while coding interview platforms offer a broader range of mock interview experiences and challenges. Both are valuable tools for job seekers aiming to improve their coding skills and interview readiness.

What is a Leetcode job?

A "Leetcode job" typically refers to a software engineering role at a tech company where strong algorithm and data structure skills are required. Many companies use Leetcode-style coding problems in technical interviews to assess a candidate's problem-solving abilities. Preparing for these interviews often involves practicing problems on Leetcode to improve coding efficiency and algorithmic thinking.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Software Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Software Engineer, you need strong programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Experience with coding languages, version control systems like Git, and knowledge of algorithms and data structures—often tested on platforms like LeetCode—are essential. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are valuable soft skills that set candidates apart. These competencies are crucial for building efficient software solutions, collaborating with teams, and succeeding in technical interviews.

What is Leetcode?

Leetcode is an online platform that offers a wide variety of coding problems to help users prepare for technical interviews. It is widely used by software engineers and computer science students to practice algorithm and data structure problems. Leetcode provides problems of varying difficulty levels and supports multiple programming languages, as well as providing community solutions and discussion forums. Many employers use Leetcode-style questions in their technical interviews, making it a valuable resource for job seekers in the tech industry.

Is LeetCode still relevant in 2026?

LeetCode remains a valuable platform for software engineering job preparation in 2026, as coding interview practice continues to be a key part of technical hiring processes. Its extensive problem set helps candidates develop problem-solving skills and familiarity with common algorithms and data structures used by employers.

Job description

About Us
Phare Health is now part of R1 and its AI innovation engine, R37 Lab, bringing Phare's frontier clinical reasoning technology together with one of the largest healthcare platforms in the U.S.
At R37 and Phare, we are building the first AI-native Healthcare Revenue Operating System: a connected platform that reasons over full medical records, payer logic, and financial workflows to automate medical coding, billing, and follow-up.
Backed by real customers, real data, and real distribution, we operate on a national scale. Our agentic AI systems already power production workflows across 95 of the top 100 U.S. health systems, processing hundreds of millions of patient encounters each year, including:
  • 180M+ Claims
  • 550M+ Patient encounters
  • 1.2B+ Workflow actions and outcomes each year

This is startup-level ownership with enterprise-level impact. If you want to build AI that ships, scales, and measurably improves how healthcare works, this is the place to do it.
The Role
As a ML Engineer, you'll lead the development of early-phase, high-impact ML systems; own the internal ML dev environment (instrumentation, benchmarking, experimentation);and help bring scientific rigor into production environments, so ideas move rapidly from research to validated pipelines.
You'll partner closely with Research Scientists to make models production-ready with clear handoff contracts, performance gates, and packaging standards; and with ML Platform & Ops for safe rollouts.
We are hiring across several seniority levels ranging from Mid-level up to Staff. At a minimum, we would expect 5 years of software engineering experience with 2 years of ML experience.
What You'll Do
  • Build training and inference infrastructure for a fast-moving research team, including experiment tracking and benchmarking
  • Design and develop scalable AI systems for retrieval, ranking, categorization, and generative AI over large-scale unstructured healthcare data
  • Design, build, and operate AI/ML Systems end-to-end: from problem framing and model selection to production build and deployment, to ongoing improvement
  • Work backwards from complex business problems to define AI abstractions and system architectures that are scalable, explainable, and maintainable
  • Bring rigor to scientific decisions by defining the right evaluation datasets, metrics, and validation strategies tied to real outcomes
  • Design ranking and triage models that determine how work is routed between AI agents and human operators
  • Establish feedback loops and data flywheels that continuously improve model performance in production
  • Partner closely with software engineers, product managers, clinicians, and operators to ensure AI/ML systems deliver measurable business value
  • Prototype and scale new AI capabilities from 0 → 1, then harden them for real-world production use
  • Mentor other AI/ML engineers and promote best practices across modeling, evaluation, and deployment

Role Leveling
We are looking for candidates at various levels, ranging from Level 2 to Staff
  • L2: Independently delivers a complete end-to-end project, owning design, implementation, and delivery of scoped work
  • L3: Leads delivery of larger projects, handling increased technical complexity and ambiguity, providing light guidance to L2s on shared work
  • Senior: Team Lead responsible for managing a portfolio of projects that contribute to major technical initiatives.
  • Staff: Impact at the organizational level. Responsible for leading multiple teams or multiple broad initiatives simultaneously, ensuring that high-level technical goals are met across the entire organization.

Benefits
  • Top-of-market compensation (salary + equity)
  • Flexible PTO
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • 401(k) matching
  • Inspiring, brilliant, mission-driven teammates

Hiring Flow
  • Intro call - your background & our mission alignment
  • Technical deep-dives - pseudo-coding exercise and systems design (not Leetcode)
  • Final in-person interview at one of our hubs (SF, NYC, Austin, or Chicago; travel arranged)
  • References
  • Offer
