As of Jul 12, 2026, the average hourly pay for leetcode in the United States is $26.34, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.14 and $30.77 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What professions make 200,000 a year without a degree?

In the tech industry, roles such as software engineers, data scientists, and product managers can earn $200,000 or more annually, often requiring strong coding skills, experience, and certifications rather than a formal degree. Other high-paying professions without a degree include sales directors, real estate brokers, and certain entrepreneurial roles, but these typically demand significant experience, networking, and skill development.

Does LeetCode get you a job?

LeetCode is a platform for practicing coding skills and preparing for technical interviews, which can improve your chances of securing a software engineering job. However, using LeetCode alone does not guarantee employment; success depends on overall skills, interview performance, and job market conditions.

What jobs use LeetCode?

LeetCode is commonly used by software engineering and developer roles to prepare for technical interviews. Jobs in fields such as software development, data science, and algorithm engineering often require strong coding skills tested through platforms like LeetCode. Proficiency in coding problems and algorithms is essential for these positions.

How can practicing coding problems on LeetCode help prepare for technical interviews in software engineering roles?

Practicing coding problems on LeetCode is an effective way to prepare for technical interviews because it closely mirrors the types of algorithmic and data structure challenges commonly asked by employers. Regularly solving these problems helps you develop problem-solving skills, improve coding efficiency, and become familiar with a variety of concepts that are essential in real-world software engineering. Additionally, LeetCode's discussion forums and mock interview features can help simulate real interview environments and provide valuable feedback. This consistent practice not only builds technical expertise but also boosts confidence when approaching actual interviews.

What is the difference between Leetcode vs Coding Interview Platforms?

AspectLeetcodeCoding Interview Platforms
PurposePractice coding problems for technical interviewsProvide a variety of coding challenges and mock interviews
CredentialsNo certifications, just practiceNo certifications, focus on skill development
Work EnvironmentOnline platform for individual practiceOnline or in-person mock interview settings
Industry UsageWidely used by job seekers preparing for tech interviewsUsed by both candidates and companies for interview prep

Leetcode is primarily a platform for practicing coding problems to prepare for technical interviews, while coding interview platforms offer a broader range of mock interview experiences and challenges. Both are valuable tools for job seekers aiming to improve their coding skills and interview readiness.

What is a Leetcode job?

A "Leetcode job" typically refers to a software engineering role at a tech company where strong algorithm and data structure skills are required. Many companies use Leetcode-style coding problems in technical interviews to assess a candidate's problem-solving abilities. Preparing for these interviews often involves practicing problems on Leetcode to improve coding efficiency and algorithmic thinking.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Software Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Software Engineer, you need strong programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Experience with coding languages, version control systems like Git, and knowledge of algorithms and data structures—often tested on platforms like LeetCode—are essential. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are valuable soft skills that set candidates apart. These competencies are crucial for building efficient software solutions, collaborating with teams, and succeeding in technical interviews.

What is Leetcode?

Leetcode is an online platform that offers a wide variety of coding problems to help users prepare for technical interviews. It is widely used by software engineers and computer science students to practice algorithm and data structure problems. Leetcode provides problems of varying difficulty levels and supports multiple programming languages, as well as providing community solutions and discussion forums. Many employers use Leetcode-style questions in their technical interviews, making it a valuable resource for job seekers in the tech industry.

Is LeetCode still relevant in 2026?

LeetCode remains a valuable platform for software engineering job preparation in 2026, as coding interview practice continues to be a key part of technical hiring processes. Its extensive problem set helps candidates develop problem-solving skills and familiarity with common algorithms and data structures used by employers.

Job description

Product Engineer
Location: Remote (Europe) Preferred: Portugal
About the Role
At Maker, we build an AI-powered page builder for ecommerce teams who want to be on the forefront of technology. We package complex AI into tools that feel simple - so our customers can build high-converting pages without needing to understand the technology behind them.
We're looking for a product engineer. Not a frontend engineer. Not a backend engineer. Someone who owns features end-to-end from understanding the user problem, to architecting the solution, to shipping it and watching how people use it.
You'll work across the stack. Our codebase spans TypeScript and ReScript, React and HTMX on the frontend, Node.js on the backend, running on serverless infrastructure (Vercel, AWS, Fastly, Cloudflare). You don't need to know all of it, you need to be the kind of engineer who picks things up fast and isn't boxed in by a specialization.
AI tools are part of how we work every day. You'll write less code and review more. Your judgment about what ships and what isn't good enough is what matters most.
What working here looks like
  • You'll own features from idea to production. No one hands you a spec and walks away
  • You'll shape product decisions, not just implement them. We expect you to have opinions about what we should build and why
  • You'll build interfaces that ecommerce store owners can understand without a tutorial
  • You'll make architectural calls that balance speed with long-term quality
  • You'll use AI to move fast, but you'll know when to slow down and think for yourself
You might be a good fit if you
  • Have deep experience building production software and can point to products you shaped, not just code you wrote
  • Have built and scaled at least one product from zero to real usage (10x-100x growth)
  • Have strong React and Node.js experience with solid API design instincts
  • Have worked at an early-stage, product-focused startup and thrived in the ambiguity
  • Think about the user before you think about the architecture
  • Communicate clearly in English - in code, in docs, in conversation
It's an added plus if you
  • Were a founder, co-founder, or early employee (first 10-20 hires) at a startup
  • Have worked on products in our space: page builders, design tools, visual editors, AI creative tools, AI coding tools
  • Have built side projects or open source work you're proud of
  • Have experience with HTMX, Alpine.js, or ReScript
  • Can show us how you use AI tools pragmatically - when to lean on them and when not to
How we hire
Our process reflects how we actually work. No LeetCode. No whiteboard algorithms.
1. Intro conversation - We talk about your background, what drives you, and what you've built. We want
to see how you think about product and technology together
2. Real-world project - We give you an open-ended problem inspired by something we're actually
thinking about at Maker. Use any tools you want - AI agents, copilots, whatever makes you fast. We care about what you deliver, how you scope it, and whether you can explain your decisions
3. Team session - A working conversation with the team. We're evaluating fit in both directions

If this sounds like the kind of work you want to do, we'd love to hear from you - even if you don't check every box. The best people we've hired surprised us
