For over 60 years, UF Health Leesburg Hospital has built a strong reputation as a premier medical center and a comprehensive provider of healthcare in the region. The hospital is home to advanced cardiovascular services, including one of Florida's largest open-heart programs. Additional specialties include world-class orthopedics, robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery, emergency and stroke care, labor and delivery, and more.
Emergency Department Overview
  • Annual patient volume: 48,000
  • 30 ED beds
  • 9-10 hour shifts with APC coverage
  • 24/7 access to X-ray, ultrasound, CT, full lab services, and respiratory therapists
  • EMR system: EPIC

Position Details
  • Employment types: PRN, part-time, or full-time
  • Candidates must be board certified/eligible in emergency medicine (ABEM/AOBEM), or board certified in family medicine (FM) or internal medicine (IM) with recent EM experience
  • Active ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Completion of an accredited residency program is required
