About Ganem Construction:

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team. This role is critical in leading all on-site construction activities, maintaining schedule and budget targets, ensuring safety, and upholding Ganem Construction's standards of quality and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise all field personnel and construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality specifications.
  • Promote and enforce job site safety, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure compliance with all company safety policies.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Senior Superintendent and Project Manager, identifying issues and delivering proactive solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Foster positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, inspection agencies, engineers, architects, and clients.
  • Oversee field operations including site coordination, material deliveries, inspections, and daily workflow.
  • Review and understand project documents including contracts, drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs, change orders, and permits.
  • Perform daily job walks, monitor workmanship, and reduce owner punch lists through strong quality control practices.
  • Ensure subcontractors meet all contractual requirements prior to starting work, including safety programs and documentation.
  • Support project teams with high-level communication, leadership, and collaboration from start-up through close-out.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites and field offices.
Minimum Requirements

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).
  • Procore certification required.
  • Tilt-up experience required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and schedule management skills.

Education

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • 30-hour OSHA certification required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • LEED AP or LEED training preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of successful superintendent experience with a commercial builder.
  • Strong background in scheduling, field supervision, safety, and quality control.
  • Experience in commercial construction including tenant improvements, ground-up construction, and similar project types.

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and use hands regularly.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Strong time management, judgment, communication, and decision-making skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment background screening, including employment verification, education, criminal history, and driving record.
