What You Will Do:

A successful Employee Relations Consultant is an experienced and talented employee relations professionalwith experience managing a broad range of employment matters, including resolution of employment disputes and complaints to ensure fairness, consistency and legal compliance. Operating within a centralized Employee Relations model, the Employee Relations Consultant will interface with the broader Employee Relations teams, Legal and E&C and provide consultation on risk mitigation to HR COEs and other corporate functions, line managers and Senior Leadership. Balancing time between the reactive and proactive spaces, the successful candidate will be required to provide expert advice to the business that supports efficient operations while remaining attentive to employee needs and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and employment laws. Tact, diplomacy, knowledge, relevant experience, and the ability to multi-task are keys to the success of this role.

  • Develop a strong partnership with Segment and Functional leadership teams to execute Employee Relations strategies that foster growth, innovation, and organizational compliance and effectiveness.

  • Manage employee grievance process, from initiation to closure, including communication, documentation, and tracking.

  • Counsel executives and people managers on a broad range of employment issues, including hiring, performance management, disability and religious accommodations, leave of absence, corrective action, reductions-in-force, and terminations.

  • Provide guidance on effective ways of resolving employee relations issues and makes discipline recommendations utilizing the company's progressive discipline process.

  • Liaise with our leave of absence administrator on LOA related employee issues. Liaise with Ethics & Compliance teams on matters requiring escalation.

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, patterns, and themes from case management data to determine gaps and/or to address areas requiring attention to inform and impact decisioning with clients.

  • Support organizational restructuring efforts. drive and execute large-scale and small-scale reductions.

  • Stay up to date on changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure company policies and procedures remain compliant.

  • Participate in the development and review of People policies and procedures, providing recommendations for enhancements as needed.

  • Deliver training to enable effective management practices and promote a positive work environment.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of related HR experience.

  • Extensive experience in employee relations providing guidance on complex and multi-faceted employee relation issues in both exempt and non-exempt environments.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state EEO laws and state HR policies.

  • Experience developing, conducting, and providing training to management, particularly with regards to situations involving interpersonal conflict.

  • Experience counseling managers and supervisors regarding best practices methods of resolving conflict, performance issues, and acts of misconduct.

  • Proven track record of working independently to achieve key results, while keeping management and colleagues abreast of critical issues.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.

  • Collaboration skills and experience working with other internal human capital and legal stakeholders

  • Experience acting as a trusted advisor to leaders, peers, and employees with a consultative approach

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of HR technologies, including HRIS and/or Case Management Tool

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information and data from multiple sources and summarize investigative findings clearly and concisely in writing

  • Ability to work independently and utilize resources to problem solve a variety of complex, highly sensitive people issues

  • Ability to prioritize work in fast paced, highly matrixed environment.
