Emergency Medicine Physician opening in ORLocated in Coquille, 17m to Coos BayFull Time, Permanent PositionOur facility is a growing and progressive, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and a co-located medical clinic facility in a southwestern Oregon coastal valley, just 20 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. The hospital offers a rather full scope of community hospital services for its size including acute care, a well-equipped 24-hour 7-bed emergency room, medical and surgical services, state-of-the-art medical imaging and laboratory facilities, respiratory care, physical therapy, Swing Bed services, skilled care programs, and outpatient day surgery.Hospital is located in a medically underserved area, is a public employer, and a not-for-profit organization, as such we participate in and qualify for many different student loan forgiveness programs. Hospital has staff available to assist with loan forgiveness applications.Facility Characteristics* 25 bed Critical Access Hospital 17 beds in service* No OB Services* No afterhours surgical coverage* Telephone consultation orthopedics/general surgery/GYN* Clinic providers cover hospitalized patients on the inpatient floor* ED Providers write bridge orders for admitted patients, attending physicians pick up in the morning.* Change in conditions managed by attending* ED Docs provide emergency coverage house wide for rapid response, codes, etc. until attending arrives.* Hospital average daily census of 6* No US available outside of normal business hours* CT/MRI in house* 24/7 lab, respiratory therapy available. X-ray call after midnight* Joint Commission accredited facilityED Department* Goal is to have a staff of 5 EM trained, Board Certified physicians.* 3 currently 2 positions to fill* 12 hour shifts 12 to 13 shifts per month* FAST exam capable.* ED US handheld device.* ED Medical Director makes schedule* Great staff in department, dedicated nursing team. * 6500 ED visits per year visits growing year over year* More trauma than most facilities our size* Level 4 trauma designation* Medication (prescription) dispensing machine in ED for afterhours prescriptions.* Average 17-18 patients per day.* 1 physician on per shiftCommunity Details* 4,000 Population* 65,000 County populationCompensation Details* $200.00 per hour* $225.00 per hour for any shift worked in excess of 13 shifts in any given month.
