Job Description Summary:

As the Benefits & LOA Manager you lead the administration, compliance, and delivery of Team Member benefits and leave programs. In your role you will oversee benefits and leave operations, vendor partnerships, Team Member communications, and regulatory compliance while serving as the business owner for Workday Benefits and Absence Management. Your position partners with HR, Payroll, HRIS, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to ensure efficient, compliant, and employee-focused programs that support the Company's total rewards strategy.

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of the Company's benefits and leave programs, ensuring alignment with business and Human Resources objectives
  • Serve as the business owner and functional lead for Workday Benefits and Absence Management, including system configuration, business processes, eligibility rules, enrollments, leave plans, reporting, integrations, testing, data integrity, and ongoing optimization
  • Oversee the daily administration of health, welfare, retirement, wellness, voluntary benefits, and leave programs, including FMLA, state and local leave laws, military leave, personal leave, and other Company-sponsored programs
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, HRIS, Legal, Finance, IT, vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators to ensure effective program delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence
  • Manage vendor relationships, audit processes, payroll deductions, billing reconciliations, carrier reporting, enrollment activities, and annual benefits enrollment planning and execution
  • Provide guidance and resolution for complex Team Member benefits and leave matters, serving as an escalation point for sensitive issues and ensuring a positive Team Member experience
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, training materials, communications, reports, dashboards, and operational documentation to support consistent administration and informed decision-making
  • Monitor legislative changes, compliance requirements, industry trends, program utilization, and operational metrics, recommending enhancements to improve efficiency, compliance, and Team Member engagement
  • Lead system testing, implementation, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional projects related to benefits and leave administration
  • Create and deliver Team Member and manager communications, educational resources, and training programs that promote understanding, participation, and effective use of benefits and leave offerings
  • Provide cross-functional support for Benefits, Leave of Absence, and Workers' Compensation programs and serve as a departmental resource during absences, vacancies, and periods of increased workload

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in benefits and leave administration with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilities
  • Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience configuring and administering Workday Benefits and Absence Management, preferred
  • Prior hospitality, gaming, or multi-location operational experience preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, state leave laws, and related compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience configuring eligibility rules, benefit events, enrollment workflows, absence plans, accrual schedules, business processes, security roles, notifications, approvals, reporting, and integrations within Workday, preferred
  • Experience leading Workday annual enrollment configuration, system testing, implementation, and post-deployment validation activities, preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing benefit plans, leave programs, vendor relationships, Team Member communications, and compliance activities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Workday reporting tools

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States
