TRC Talent Solutions is looking for a HR Generalist for one of clients.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Leave Administration Specialist to oversee and manage all employee leave programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave-related matters and partners closely with HR leadership to support workforce attendance management and employee well-being.
Job Details:
  • 5-month contract 20-25 hours a week
  • Pay is BOE Experience
  • Must be willing to travel between Lagrange and West Point offices occasionally

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and state-specific leave laws, along with strong analytical and reporting skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of equivalent work experience in Leave Administration, HR Generalist functions, or a combination of both.

  • Demonstrated experience managing leave programs, including:

    • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

    • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

    • Short-Term Disability (STD)

    • Long-Term Disability (LTD)

    • State and local leave laws

  • Experience working with HRIS and workforce management systems, preferably Workday and Kronos.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local leave regulations.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and employee support skills.

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience creating and maintaining reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary employee contact for all leave administration questions, guidance, and support.

  • Manage and administer all company leave programs, including parental leave, disability leaves, FMLA, ADA accommodations, and state-specific leave programs.

  • Partner closely with HR and leadership teams to ensure leave administration aligns with company attendance policies and applicable regulations.

  • Monitor leave cases from initiation through completion, ensuring timely communication and documentation.

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive leave administration reporting to provide visibility into leave trends, program utilization, compliance risks, and operational insights.

  • Administer leave programs within Workday and Kronos, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and effective system management.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws, keeping current with changing legislation and best practices.

  • Support audits, reporting requests, and policy updates related to leave administration.

  • Collaborate with employees, managers, benefits partners, and HR stakeholders to ensure a positive and compliant leave experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a multi-state employer environment.

  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and HR reporting tools.
