We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused In-Home Furniture Repair Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, working independently, and delivering exceptional service directly to customers in their homes.

Our technicians are trusted professionals who represent the company in customers’ homes while performing high-quality furniture and upholstery repairs throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Schedule

  • Tuesday thru Saturday 7:30am-4pm (End time varies based on daily service workload)

What You’ll Do

  • Travel to customers’ homes using a company vehicle
  • Inspect furniture damage and determine appropriate repair solutions
  • Perform furniture, upholstery, leather, fabric, recliner mechanism, and surface repairs
  • Use hand and power tools.
  • Deliver excellent customer service during every service call
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation and photos using company systems
  • Manage inventory, tools, and repair supplies within the service vehicle
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal departments
  • Ensure repairs meet company quality standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Ideal Candidate Background

We are looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

  • Furniture repair or finishing
  • Upholstery or leather repair
  • Woodworking or cabinetry
  • Automotive interior repair
  • Carpentry or general skilled trades
  • Field service technician work
  • Mechanical repair or assembly

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily routes
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to safely lift and move furniture
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience with stain matching, burn-ins, leather repair, fabric cleaning, or upholstery repairs

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and moving furniture (up to 100 lbs unassisted)
  • Standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing in/out of vehicles throughout the day
  • Safe use of hand and power tools
  • Driving for extended periods between service calls
