Craftsperson, Repairs (Industrial Sewing)
Location: North Bergen, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: $30/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Craftsperson with strong industrial sewing experience to support Loved & Repair Workshop. This role is responsible for repairing, assembling, and reinforcing luxury leather goods while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship, quality, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform stitching, repairs, and assembly on handbags, small leather goods, and accessories

  • Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment

  • Select appropriate stitching techniques, thread, and materials based on product specifications

  • Inspect finished work to ensure quality, durability, and precision

  • Troubleshoot sewing and construction issues as needed

  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship

  • Collaborate with prep, finishing, and production teams to ensure quality outcomes

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial sewing experience, preferably in leather goods, handbags, upholstery, footwear, or related products

  • Experience operating industrial sewing machines (single needle, post bed, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of stitching techniques, seam construction, and material handling

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

Preferred

  • Experience working with leather and luxury products

  • Willingness to learn additional craft skills such as finishing, edge painting, and product preparation


Pay Details: $30.00 per hour
