Job description

YQC Properties is seeking a full-time Leasing Professional in our office to assist with our growing portfolio!  Because the position requires frequent in-person interaction with residents, applicants, vendors, and coworkers, together with regular inspections of apartment communities and immediate response to on-site operational needs, this position must be performed on-site.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
  • Welcome and assist all visitors to corporate office
  • Office Management
  • Leasing & Marketing of all vacant and upcoming vacant units
  • Constantly focus on resident retention
  • Basic accounting
  • Keeping resident rental records
  • High attention to detail required
  • Assist with the monitoring of competitive market area for patterns & trends affecting rent and occupancy
  • Assist with monitoring of each property's physical condition
  • Assist with renewals
  • Provide effective resident relations
  • Create and maintain files, including folders, binders, etc
  • Interact with prospective and current residents in a professional and courteous approach
  • Walk units before move in for quality control
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to deescalate and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Approximately 80% in office environment using computer and phone
  • Approximately 20% inspecting property grounds, including apartments, building structure, landscaping, and signage which may require the ability to climb stairs, ladders, and maneuver walkways
  • Ability to carry or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Consistently demonstrate excellent customer service skills and professional development
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance preferred
  • Working knowledge of leasing practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, marketing and negotiation skills
  • Comply with all Fair Housing & Equal Housing Opportunity requirements
  • Comply with appropriate state landlord/tenant statutes
  • Must own a dependable vehicle and have valid driver’s license. Will be required to drive in Washington and/or Oregon.
