Job description

Overview:

The Training Manager leads and continuously improves QES’s company-wide training system. This role oversees onboarding, skills development, certifications, training content, and the LMS to ensure employees have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their jobs safely, effectively, and consistently.

The Training Manager partners with departments across the organization to identify skill gaps, develop employees, and support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and continuously improve QES’s training system, including onboarding, skills development, certifications, and training standards.

Lead and develop the training team and internal trainers while partnering with HR, Safety, Production, Quality, and Engineering to address training needs.

Manage the LMS, training records, skill matrices, and training content to ensure programs remain accurate and effective.

Track training effectiveness, identify skill gaps, and use data to drive continuous improvement.

Support employee development and ensure training meets safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

5+ years of training, learning and development, or related experience; manufacturing or technical experience preferred.

Experience managing an LMS and training programs.

Strong understanding of adult learning and instructional design.

Excellent communication, facilitation, organization, and leadership skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.

Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
