Job description

We are seeking a warm, experienced, and passionate Montessori Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to authentic Montessori education and creating a nurturing, engaging classroom environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement an educational program based on the individual needs of each child
  • Prepare and maintain a beautiful Montessori environment, including classroom materials and organization
  • Present Montessori lessons and guide children through purposeful, hands-on learning experiences
  • Observe, assess, and document student progress
  • Foster independence, confidence, concentration, and a love of learning
  • Partner with assistant teachers to support the needs of all learners
  • Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records
  • Implement the daily classroom schedule, including work cycle, outdoor time, meals, and special activities
  • Use positive guidance techniques and model respectful communication
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Follow Texas Minimum Standards and school policies

Qualifications

  • Montessori Early Childhood Certification (Ages 3–6) from an AMS, AMI, MACTE-accredited Montessori training program is required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Montessori classroom experience preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • CPR & First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Passionate about Montessori education and working with young children
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
