Job description

The group you'll be a part of
The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.
The Global Operations AI team is a newly formed, high-impact organization within Lam Research's Global Operations business unit. The team is responsible for defining, continuously evolving, and deploying the AI/ML/Automation roadmap across Global Operations in close partnership with Lam's Enterprise AI office.
This role is designed as an internal opportunity, requiring strong familiarity with Lam's Global Operations processes, operating models, systems, and organizational structures. The Principal Change Management Lead plays a critical role in ensuring AI-enabled capabilities are embedded into how work gets done, adopted by teams, and translated into sustained business value.
The impact you'll make
The Principal Change Management Lead owns process re-engineering, training, adoption, organizational readiness, and AI fluency across the Global Operations AI portfolio. This role serves as the primary change leader for GOPs AI initiatives, working closely with internal business owners, functional teams, Operations TPMs, AI/ML/Automation TPMs, the Principal Program Management Lead, and Enterprise AI.
The focus of this role is to ensure AI solutions are operationalized, understood, used, and value-generating by embedding them into Global Operations processes, decision-making, and day-to-day workflows.
What you'll do
Process Re engineering & Operational Embedding
  • Lead process re engineering efforts to embed AI/ML/Automation use case capabilities into existing Global Operations business processes and operating rhythms.
  • Partner closely with internal functional business owners to redesign workflows, roles, decision points, and controls impacted by AI deployments.
  • Ensure AI solutions are integrated into standard work, governance mechanisms, and execution models rather than operating as standalone tools.
  • Identify organizational, process, and behavioral barriers to adoption and drive mitigation plans early in the delivery lifecycle.

Training, Adoption & Organizational Readiness
  • Define and execute end to end training and adoption strategies for Global Operations AI initiatives.
  • Develop role based training content, enablement materials, and learning pathways tailored to Lam's Global Operations teams.
  • Drive awareness, readiness, and engagement across stakeholder groups, from frontline users to leadership.
  • Establish and monitor adoption, usage, and behavior change metrics post deployment; partner with TPMs to drive corrective actions where needed.

AI Fluency, Communication & Change Leadership
  • Build and scale organizational AI fluency across Global Operations, helping teams understand AI capabilities, limitations, and practical applications within Lam's context.
  • Lead change communication strategies, including executive messaging, functional communications, and user facing materials.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Global Operations leaders on change impacts, readiness, and adoption considerations tied to AI driven transformation.
  • Establish repeatable change management frameworks and best practices for AI initiatives across Global Operations.

Enterprise AI Partnership & Value Realization
  • Work closely with Enterprise AI to drive adoption and effective usage of Lam approved AI platforms, tools, and capabilities.
  • Partner with Program, Operations, and Finance stakeholders to link adoption and usage metrics to value realization and ROI outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to expand usage, deepen adoption, and maximize realized value from deployed solutions.

Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field with 15+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 12+ years' experience; or 5 years of experience with a Ph.D, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience within Lam Research Global Operations, or closely related Lam operational organizations.
  • Deep understanding of Global Operations business processes, systems, operating models, and organizational dynamics.
  • Proven experience leading process re engineering, change management, training, or transformation initiatives in complex operational environments.
  • Experience supporting digital, analytics, automation, or AI enabled initiatives strongly preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and influencing skills across functional, operational, and leadership audiences.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and bring structure, clarity, and execution discipline to transformation efforts.
  • Credibility and trust to partner closely with internal business owners and functional leaders.
