Job description

The manager is accountable and responsible 24 hours a day for managing and demonstrating leadership skills in the systems management of practice and/or operations issues. These activities should ensure appropriate outcomes and efficient, effective team processes guiding activities of the area including, but not limited to, the staff, environment, and patients.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in nursing; Graduate of an accredited program
  • Preferred: Master's Degree

Experience:

  • Four (4) years in the specified clinical area or specified operational experience

Licensure: Mississippi Nursing License, or Compact Accepted

Skills:

  • Team building skills with accountability to those team

  • Provides essential management functions to assure effective day-to-day operations.
    • Budgets within parameters.
    • Monitors and adjusts staffing as appropriate.
    • Conducts interviews, hires, and terminates staff in collaboration with human resources.
