Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Learning & Development serves as the functional owner of Travere's enterprise learning ecosystem, partnering closely with HRIS to optimize Workday Learning and Sana AI while designing and delivering engaging, scalable learning experiences that support employee development and business performance.

This role combines instructional design, learning technology administration, enterprise content development, learning operations, and facilitation. The position is responsible for designing custom learning solutions using adult learning principles, administering the learning management system, managing learning content and vendor relationships, coordinating enterprise learning programs, and leveraging learning analytics to continuously improve the learner experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of Travere's enterprise learning strategy by identifying capability gaps, establishing learning governance, and aligning learning initiatives with business priorities.
  • Serve as the functional owner of Workday Learning and Sana by administering the LMS, managing learning catalogs, learning paths, campaigns, course assignments, learner audiences, and content collections while partnering with HRIS on platform governance, integrations, security, and system enhancements.
  • Evaluate and leverage emerging AI-enabled learning capabilities to enhance knowledge discovery, personalized learning experiences, content creation, and learner engagement.
  • Design, develop, curate and maintain engaging enterprise learning experiences using adult learning principles, including instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, microlearning, AI-enabled content, job aids, facilitator guides, and blended learning solutions.
  • Manage learning operations by coordinating enterprise learning calendars, program logistics, course scheduling, learner communications, compliance tracking, learning content maintenance, and ongoing platform/content updates to ensure an exceptional learner experience.
  • Facilitate enterprise learning programs, workshops, onboarding, leadership development experiences, and standard learning programs (e.g., Insights Discovery), while coaching subject matter experts and facilitators on effective learning delivery.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and business leaders to assess learning needs, recommend scalable learning solutions, and translate business priorities into impactful development experiences aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage relationships with external learning vendors and content providers, coordinating licensing, implementation, content updates, and third-party learning resources to support enterprise learning initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze learning analytics, learner engagement, completion metrics, and program effectiveness to identify trends, measure impact, and continuously improve learning experiences and platform adoption.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and applicable experience may be considered.

Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Instructional Design, or Learning Technology.

Experience administering an enterprise Learning Management System, preferably Workday Learning.

Experience implementing, optimizing, or serving as the functional owner of an enterprise learning platform; experience with Sana or AI-enabled learning technologies is highly preferred.

Demonstrated experience designing and developing custom enterprise learning content using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

Experience facilitating instructor-led and virtual learning programs for diverse audiences.

Additional Skills/Experience/Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Workday Learning, Sana AI, Microsoft 365, and learning analytics/reporting tools preferred.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically, as needed.
  • All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face-to-face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Target Base Pay Range:

$132,000.00 - $172,000.00
