This is position is located at our corporate office in Westmont, IL and requires 3-5 days a week onsite

As a Learning Programs Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs within the organization. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, project management skills, and a deep understanding of learning and development principles. The Learning Programs Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify training needs, design effective learning solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of programs that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Needs Analysis

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge, skills, and abilities within the organization.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including department heads and HR, to understand business goals and align learning programs with organizational objectives.

Program Design and Development

  • Design comprehensive learning programs that address identified needs using a variety of modalities, including e-learning, instructor-led training, workshops, and other relevant methods.
  • Develop and curate content, ensuring it is engaging, effective, and aligned with adult learning principles.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in learning and development to continuously enhance program content.

Project Management

  • Create detailed project plans outlining timelines, resource requirements, and milestones for the successful execution of learning programs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and external vendors to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of training initiatives.

Implementation and Delivery

  • Oversee the implementation of learning programs, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for participants.
  • Facilitate training sessions, either directly or through collaboration with subject matter experts and trainers.

Evaluation and Measurement

  • Establish evaluation metrics and mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of learning programs.
  • Analyze data and feedback to make continuous improvements to existing programs and identify opportunities for new initiatives.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to provide updates on the progress of learning programs and gather feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR and department heads to ensure alignment with talent development and organizational goals.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for learning programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and a positive return on investment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in facilitation, instructional design, program management, and adult learning principles.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Certifications in instructional design or project management are desirable
