Job description

Position Summary:
Seeking a Business Systems Analyst to serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise business systems. This role focuses on gathering and documenting requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions, supporting Agile development efforts, conducting testing, and driving continuous process and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
  • Create and refine user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria within an Agile environment.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver system enhancements and technology solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and support implementation activities.
  • Analyze system issues, troubleshoot operational challenges, and recommend process improvements.
  • Monitor business system performance and support ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
  • Develop training materials, system documentation, and end-user procedures.
  • Support compliance, governance, audit, and documentation requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, product management, software development, testing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and supporting enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, user story creation, and requirements management.
  • Experience leading UAT efforts, system testing, and implementation projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting utility industry applications and operational systems.
  • Familiarity with GIS, ADMS, asset management systems, engineering analysis tools, or work management systems.
