Job description

Description

Our client is seeking an L1 Systems Engineer to support infrastructure operations and vulnerability remediation efforts as the organization prepares for and executes major technology initiatives, including the D1 (Fiserv DNA) core platform implementation. This role will focus on day-to-day systems administration, patching, vulnerability management, service requests, incident resolution, and infrastructure support while engineers focus on strategic projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level infrastructure professional looking to broaden their experience across Windows systems, virtualization, security remediation, and enterprise infrastructure technologies in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day systems administration across infrastructure environments

Respond to and resolve service requests and infrastructure incidents

Support vulnerability remediation efforts and track remediation progress

Assist with audit findings and infrastructure security initiatives

Administer Windows Server environments

Manage virtual machines within VMware and/or Nutanix environments

Execute backup and restore operations

Support Active Directory and Group Policy administration

Assist with server patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management

Participate in change management activities and documentation

Troubleshoot infrastructure and system issues

Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and project teams

Maintain operational stability during major enterprise initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3-5 years of Systems Administration or Infrastructure Support experience
