What You'll Do

The Learning Experience Designer reports to the Director of Training

  • Design and develop learning experiences using methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, action-based learning, and scenario-based learning.
  • Create engaging, practice-focused learning activities that mirror real maintenance challenges, including equipment, process, quality, safety, troubleshooting, and launch-related scenarios.
  • Conduct needs analyses to identify performance gaps, determine root causes, and recommend targeted learning and performance support interventions for maintenance department.
  • Partner with SMEs, and leaders through interviews, observations, and working sessions to validate learning needs and understand operational realities.
  • Develop multi-modal learning assets including eLearning, ILT/VILT materials, videos, workshops, simulations, and job aids to support manufacturing learners in varied environments.
  • Build learning solutions from the ground up by identifying needs, developing plans, establishing processes, and creating the content and systems needed for successful implementation.
  • Ability to approach problems from a systems perspective and identify how changes to one process or component may affect the broader learning environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly and determine how they can best support organizational learning goals.
  • Adapt quickly to changing circumstances, priorities, and day-to-day operational demands.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Training.

What You'll Bring

  • The ideal candidate is a creative instructional design professional who combines strong project management skills with expertise in adult learning principles and digital content development.
  • Portfolio required: demonstrated work samples showcasing eLearning, ILT/VILT materials, scenario-based learning, action-based learning, and/or performance support tools.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and eLearning.
  • Education, certifications, or professional development in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Experience producing and editing video and audio learning content.
  • Experience developing learning solutions in a regulated, technical, aviation, or operational environment.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Articulate Storyline360, Vyond, Camtasia, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience creating SCORM-compliant learning content for Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience administering or supporting a Learning Management System.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences and translate complex operational content into effective learning solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments and functional areas.
