Arquitectonica is an award-winning, design-focused architecture and planning firm with a worldwide practice of 500+ employees located across eleven offices.  Our Miami Headquarters is seeking a Design Manager with a minimum of 8 years of architectural work experience to join our team. 
Position Overview
As a Design Manager at Arquitectonica, you will manage several projects in the design phases and may lead one or more design teams.  You will be client-facing, taking part in project presentations and managing deliverables to meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Design Principals and Leadership to prepare and develop design presentations for clients
  • Manage project team(s) to prepare and finalize project designs
  • Act as a client point of contact, attending all client meetings and managing client communications
  • Develop project workplans within the schedules and fees, providing on-time deliverables within the project budget
  • Monitor project schedule, deliverables, deadlines, staffing coverage, meeting schedule, billing and invoices, flagging any concerns with leadership
  • Mentor interns and junior staff, encouraging professional development
  • Communicate professionally, thoroughly, and articulately with clients, consultants, and staff
  • Maintain a positive and proactive problem-solving approach with all stakeholders
  • With a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of zoning and building codes, continuously confirm project designs meet complex project requirements

Qualifications and Attributes
  • Undergraduate degree in architecture or related design field, master’s degree in architecture preferred
  • Licensed architect preferred
  • 8 years of continuous work experience, including experience in Multi-Family Residential and Commercial projects
  • Strong design ability with creative vision
  • Ability to work and problem-solve independently, as well as collaborate with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds positive relationships
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present design ideas and project needs to clients
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, maintaining attentive client interactions
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for international travel, if necessary

Compensation
Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience and abilities.
