We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
About PX at Adyen
Adyen PX (Product Experience) organization consists of a group of Full-Stack builders who own the end-to-end product discovery and execution from Research, Design, to Content perspective. We are at the forefront of building the future of payments, a rapidly changing industry. We ensure that Adyen stays a leader and disruptor in the global payments industry by bringing the customers (whether shopper or business) into the center of our product and business decision making.
About the team and role
Adyen is looking for an experienced Manager, Product Experience (PX) to join our international PX team, with members located in Amsterdam and Chicago,. In this role, you'll build and lead a team of 8 full-stack PX professionals who own the end-to-end solution discovery and execution from research, design, to content.
Your primary focus will be one of our merchants' core JTBDs: "Setting Up Business." Your team's purpose is to accelerate the customer journey to realized value, guiding merchants from contract signature to their first transaction. As the PX Manager, you will define and execute the experience strategy across a wide range of domains that enable customers to achieve value more quickly:
  • Lifecycle Experience: The customer-facing experiences powering onboarding (Account Creation) and compliance (KYC/KYB) across all merchant types, ensuring a fast, intuitive, and trusted verification journey.
  • Lifecycle Enablement & Orchestration: The layer bridging internal operational engines (Risk, Compliance, Legal and Contracting) with external experiences, translating complex back-end logic into seamless end-user workflows.
  • Developer Experience: Empowering external developers with an AI powered unified platform experience, offering smart defaults to go live quickly and tools they need to scale into complex enterprise setups with ease.
  • Platform Engineering: Creating the internal UI frameworks, tools, and workflows that allow Adyen's engineering teams to build, deploy, and scale products on a resilient foundation with speed and confidence.
What you'll do
  • Define and champion the Product Experience (PX) vision and strategy, ensuring it directly drives broader business goals and success metrics.
  • Build and grow a high-performing team of 8 full-stack Product Experience (PX) professionals, who will own the end-to-end solution discovery and execution.
  • Partner with Group Product Managers, Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Senior Leadership to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure the quality of PX work stays high and consistently raises the bar for our customers.
  • Champion PX across the organization, ensuring customer needs are prioritized in product strategy.
  • Empower your team members to succeed, grow, and become highly effective for the business.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at Adyen, including product, development, commercial, and operations teams.
This is you
  • A seasoned manager. You have 5+ years of prior people leadership experience in a Product design or UX field.
  • A strategic leader with a builder's mindset. You use your deep UX craft and business acumen to create a clear vision, empower your team to experiment, and turn that vision into lasting impact. You're comfortable working across all levels and functions, from engineers to executives.
  • A champion for the customer. You drive product experience strategy by balancing user needs with company goals, ensuring our solutions have a tangible, positive impact for both.
  • An adaptive and growth-minded individual. You approach your work with an open mind, curiosity, and optimism, embracing change and adapting quickly.
  • Drives a culture of urgency and action, ensuring the team moves fast to test, learn, and improve.
  • Comfortable working across functions and levels, from engineers to executives
  • A natural coach and mentor. People trust your expertise and enjoy working with you. You build and manage a team of full-stack PX professionals, providing clear, constructive feedback that fosters professional growth and elevates their work.
  • Exemplary of the Adyen Formula
