Director of Personalized Learning and Growth
Contract Period: Salaried, exempt, 192 days, flexible schedule to include after-school hours and summer hours.
Supervisor: Dean of Academics and Dean of Faculty
Qualifications: Valid NHED license in academic subject area. Master's Degree in the educational area. Three years of teaching experience in the academic subject area with leadership qualities. Ability to communicate, coach, facilitate, be self-driven and hold themselves accountable, innovate, collaborate in decision making, influence others through guiding and actively listening, display empathy and understanding, promote culture and action
Role of the Director of Personalized Learning and Growth
The Director of Personalized Learning and Growth is a coach for all employees at Pinkerton Academy. The focus of the director's work is to support the progress of individuals, departments, and the school in meeting the school-wide goals and personal goals, based on their needs and wants, with the outcome of supporting and improving the student experience. In order to meet this purpose, the Director of Personalized Learning and Growth will provide personalized support that is based on the goals and needs of the school, departments, and individual employees.
As a member of a department and the school community, it is essential that a Pinkerton director displays a collaborative attitude. The growth and progress of a department and the Pinkerton community depends on the involvement and engagement of the faculty members in supporting the department and school goals. The director's creation of a positive atmosphere in the school community reinforces learning as a lifelong activity. The modeling of Pinkerton's goals of courtesy, respect, and responsibility can be demonstrated through a director's relationships with students, staff, and parents.

  • Supports the development and facilitation of Pinkerton professional learning (i.e., design team work, site-based licensing courses, and summer institute)
  • Promotes the growth of educational personnel, including, but not limited to, leaders, teachers, and staff, to support positive educational outcomes for students.

  • Coaching educational leaders in the areas of planning and collaborating with faculty in developing/revising curriculum maps, competencies, and rubrics and assessments that embrace NH College and Career-Ready Standards, work-study practices, or other national/local standards
  • Collaborating with faculty to support student learning through the development and improvement of curriculum, in particular, the development of competencies, performance assessments, and rubrics
  • Planning and collaborating with faculty in implementing curriculum using effective instructional strategies and practices, while assisting teachers with analyzing student evidence for professional growth
  • Planning and collaborating with faculty/staff, linking instruction to assessment, and modeling effective PLCs to yield intended student outcomes
  • Modeling effective instructional strategies during professional learning offerings
  • Teaches one class throughout the entire school year
  • Performing other comparable duties as assigned by the dean of academics and the dean of faculty
