Bachem'sย 10 week Summer Internship Programย offers undergraduate and graduate students a hands-on introduction to the pharmaceutical industry at one of the world's leading, innovationdriven company specializing in the development and manufacture of peptide and oligonucleotide based active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and related products.

Designed to provide meaningful, real-world experience, this program allows interns to apply academic knowledge in a collaborative, research-focused environment while working alongside experienced industry professionals. Throughout the internship, participants will contribute to impactful projects, build technical and professional skills, and gain insight into Bachem's scientific excellence, quality-driven culture, and global operations.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting core HR initiatives, with a focus on process improvement, employee experience, and program coordination. The intern will play a key role in supporting onboarding enhancements, internship program engagement, and feedback mechanisms that drive continuous improvement.

What you will do

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Training / Learning & Development Intern to support a high-priority training initiative within our manufacturing organization. This internship offers a hands-on, project-driven experience where you will contribute to meaningful deliverables that directly impact operations, quality, and employee training effectiveness.

This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to how training programs are designed and implemented in a regulated pharmaceutical environment while partnering closely with cross-functional teams.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Partner with Manufacturing and Quality stakeholders to gather technical process information and training requirements
    • Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand job tasks, workflows, and execution requirements
    • Translate technical and operational inputs into structured training tools, including:
      • Training matrices
      • Job-based training assignments
      • On-the-job training (OJT) frameworks
    • Organize and align training content with SOPs and role-based requirements
    • Support the development and standardization of role-based training structures
    • Document and structure training data to support onboarding and employee development programs
    • Track project progress, organize deliverables, and assist in moving key workstreams forward
    • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of training documentation

Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and structure complex information
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders and asking clarifying questions
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with HR systems is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Ability to complete the consecutive 10 week internship
  • Must have work authorization in the United States at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Base Hourly Ranges:

    • Freshman rising Sophomore - $20/hourย 
    • Sophomore rising Junior - $21/hour
    • Junior rising Senior - $22/hour
    • Senior graduate or enrolled Fall 2026 - $23/hour
