Summary
The Early Learning Director provides leadership and oversight for Early Learning, including preschool and licensed childcare programs. This role ensures a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment that promotes the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional development of children while maintaining compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Program Management
- Lead and oversee all preschool and childcare operations
- Foster a positive, developmentally appropriate learning environment
- Evaluate and continuously improve program quality, curriculum, and student outcomes
- Serve as a spiritual role model to staff, parents, and students
- Partner with the Head of School and Academy Administration to implement policies and support organizational goals that promote kindergarten readiness
Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain qualified teachers and support staff
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate employees through regular observations and annual performance reviews
- Lead staff meetings and coordinate professional development opportunities
- Ensure compliance with employee handbook policies, job expectations, and licensing requirements
- Promote a healthy team culture, high staff morale, and biblical conflict resolution practices
- Maintain staffing schedules and oversee substitute teacher coverage as needed
Family & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with current families through effective communication and support and maintain a visible presence
- Conduct parent orientations and address parent concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Represent Early Learning at school and community events
- Support marketing, enrollment, and community outreach efforts to promote Northshore Christian Academy
- Serve as a welcoming and positive ambassador for NCA by engaging prospective parents and families during campus tours
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all Washington State licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and accreditation standards
- Maintain required records and submit reports to regulatory agencies on time
- Oversee emergency preparedness procedures, drills, and facility safety requirements
- Monitor classroom materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
- Stay informed of developments in early childhood education and applicable regulatory changes
- Fulfill ACSI accreditation requirements
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Assist in developing and managing the program budget
- Oversee purchasing and inventory of supplies and equipment
- Partner with administrative staff regarding billing, enrollment, and account management
- Support fundraising initiatives and school-wide events
Qualifications
- Born Again Christian walking faithfully with God, has a personal testimony, and lives a consecrated life devoted to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Attend and active in an evangelical Christian church
- Bachelors of Early Childhood Development preferred
- Minimum of 45 college quarter credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications recognized by Washington State licensing requirements
- At least three years of successful experience working with children in an early learning setting
