Overview

PROGRAM MANAGER (E20-2026-25447):

Bowhead seeks a Program Manager for the management and evaluation of government programs including Electromagnetic Weapon Systems and/or High Speed Projectiles. 

Responsibilities

This includes both technical and administrative aspects of contract performance, with experience related to Naval Systems. Responsible for managing complex TECHNICAL aspects of multiple tasks on contract. Has P&L responsibility, oversees program budget, schedules and personnel to include subcontractors.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Ensures that all required resources such as engineering, manpower, production, computer time, facilities and the like are available for the program.
  • Plans, directs and monitors program budget and serves as primary customer contact for program information.
  • May be responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
  • May be responsible for programs of a lesser dollar value if they are more complex or developmental in nature.
  • Program complexity is the primary criteria for leveling, and dollar value of programs is secondary.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering scientific, business, or technical discipline.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Fifteen (15) years professional technical experience including at least six (6) years specialized experience in the development or evaluation of weapons and/or Weapon Systems.
  • Ten (10) years program management experience, which includes both technical and administrative aspects of contract performance.
  • Must be able to multi-task, manage priorities and work independently with little direction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
