Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN to join our leadership team as an Nurse Manager / Infection Preventionist at Wabasso Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. As a key member of our nursing team, you will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations and lead our facility's infection prevention and control program. This critical role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, promotes resident safety, and provides leadership to our nursing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Nursing in managing and supervising the nursing department
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and daily workflow to ensure quality resident care
• Support onboarding, training, and evaluation of nursing staff
• Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program, including surveillance, data tracking, and reporting
• Educate staff on infection prevention practices and regulatory compliance
• Monitor residents for signs of infection and collaborate with providers on appropriate interventions
• Develop and update policies and procedures related to infection prevention
• Participate in QAPI, care plan meetings, audits, and survey preparation
• Act as a role model and resource for nursing staff, promoting teamwork and accountability

Qualifications:

• Current and active RN license in Minnesota (required)
• Completion of an approved Infection Preventionist training program (or willingness to complete upon hire)
• Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention, surveillance, and regulatory standards
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
