What You Will Do
As the Learning & Development Leader, you will:
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, coaching, and operational excellence throughout the facility.
  • Develop and execute technical training strategies that accelerate employee development and improve operational performance.
  • Lead the site's hourly operator qualification and technical training programs.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve technical training materials including SOPs, One Point Lessons (OPLs), standardized work, visual aids, and reference materials.
  • Partner closely with plant leadership to identify capability gaps and implement development plans that strengthen individual and team performance.
  • Build development pathways for operators, trainers, supervisors, and future leaders.
  • Ensure all learning programs align with Georgia-Pacific's Principle Based Management™ philosophy and business objectives.
  • Measure training effectiveness through performance metrics and continuously improve learning systems.
  • Serve as a trusted coach and advisor to leaders across Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and Human Resources.
  • Help cultivate an environment where employees are engaged, challenged, and equipped to reach their full potential.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Hands on experience in corrugated, paper, pulp, packaging, or related manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with ability to across all levels of the organization
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, facilitating training, or developing employees in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office application, including Excel, Word, ad PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiative while delivering measurable business results

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Supervisory, Learning & Development, or Technical Training leadership experience.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing structured technical training programs.
  • Experience developing standardized work instructions, visual work aids, and qualification processes.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience.
  • Experience influencing leaders and driving organizational change without direct authority.
  • Experience developing frontline leaders and succession planning.

For this role, we anticipate paying $95,000- $120,000per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
