Hologic's Diagnostics division is seeking a Sr Program Manager who will be dedicated to program management of new assay development and instrumentation/engineering project and programs.
This is a fully onsite role based in San Diego, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as an independent leader of complex instrument systems and platforms programs, technically challenging product development projects, and diverse product sustaining initiatives involving cross-functional teams.
  • Establish project objectives and work plans including schedule, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Delegate assignments to functional area team members and track key project activities to successful completion. Report project status to divisional leadership.
  • Lead, coach, guide, and mentor a team of highly motivated, high performing PMO team members.
  • Responsible for the management of large international, cross-functional, business critical programs
  • Exert influence within a highly matrixed organization
  • Apply expertise to influence the future strategy of the PMO function and implement best practices
  • Utilize expertise to proactively identify and resolve product and project risks
  • Drive for program success while ensuring consistency and alignment across all product development projects by overcoming constraints, problems, and issues
  • Exceed customer expectations, while maximizing value to Hologic and maintaining GMP FDA/ISO compliance

Required Experience and Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Science or Engineering required. MS, M.B.A or equivalent degree preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years' experience in Program Management leading large, cross functional development programs, with demonstrated experience leading diverse sustainability projects such as product improvements, reliability, regulatory, custom, regional, product lifecycle, and others
  • Experience within Diagnostics marketplace preferred; Molecular Diagnostics experience is a plus
  • Expert in Program Management/Leadership
  • Advanced knowledge and deep understanding of stage-gate Product Development process
  • Expert in Product Development including Design Control procedures
  • Expert in management of project risks
  • Expert communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced talent management and development skills
  • Experience with ISO and FDA quality systems regulations and medical design and development cycles

The annualized base salary range for this role is $147,000 to $245,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
