POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is a tactical and supportive Human Resources (HR) role that designs
and delivers learning solutions to build employee capability and enhance
organizational performance.
The Specialist collaborates with subject matter experts to translate content into impactful training, develops materials, and evaluates outcomes to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

  • Design and develop training materials and learning experiences to support employee developmentinitiatives.

  • Deploy and update learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS) and SharePointsites as needed.

  • Analyze learner needs and business challenges to create targeted, effective training programs andrecommend learning solutions for successful outcomes.

  • Troubleshoot delivery issues and adjust content to ensure program effectiveness and learningimpact.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, subject matter experts, and HR partners to gather content and alignlearning efforts.

  • Communicate clearly through written materials, presentations, and verbal instruction across diverselearner groups.

  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models to support learner engagement anddevelopment outcomes.

  • Guide and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve training processes and promoteteamwork.

  • Stay current on Learning and Development trends and tools. Look for ways to improve learningprocesses, platforms, and delivery.

  • Review and edit materials content for accuracy and clarity.

  • Facilitate in-person and virtual sessions as needed.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree or certificate in Human Resource, Business Administration, Instructional Design, or arelated field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A minimum of five years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or talentdevelopment.

  • Experience with graphic and video creation hardware and software editing tools (Adobe) andeLearning development software (Articulate) platforms, which support the creation of trainingcontent, and facilitating sessions.

  • Exposure to corporate or manufacturing environments is a plus.

Skills Required

  • This role requires knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning

  • technologies.

  • Strong communication, project coordination, and collaboration skills are essential.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Visio)

  • Experience operating Learning Management Systems and/or other training databases (Workday Learning would be an asset)

  • Experience creating and/or maintaining SharePoint/MS Teams sites, is preferred.

  • Experience authoring online learning and performance support resources and tools (ie. Video

  • cameras, graphic editing software - Adobe, eLearning development software (Articulate), SurveyMonkey).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting salary for this position ranges from $73k-$83k CAD annually. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a range of benefits. Please note that this salary range is not guaranteed, and the final offer may vary based on experience, education, location, and shift. Additionally, the benefits and programs available may differ depending on the hire date, schedule type, and hours worked.
