Job Summary:

The Sr. Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and building high-quality learning solutions that translate established learning strategies and architectures into engaging, scalable, and impactful learner experiences. This role executes within the development lifecycle, owning how solutions are brought to life through strong instructional design application, visual storytelling, and technical development. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Sr. Development Specialist ensures that solutions are built with fidelity to design intent, aligned to enterprise standards, and optimized for learner engagement and real-world application.

Responsibilities:

Learning Solution Development & Build

  • Lead the design, development, and build of complex, multi-modal learning solutions aligned to defined learning strategies or architectures
  • Translate approved concepts and design intent into instructionally sound, visually engaging, and learner-ready experiences
  • Develop storyboards, visual designs, and interactive elements that bring learning journeys to life
  • Leverage modern authoring tools and technologies to produce scalable, efficient, and high-quality outputs
  • Ensure solutions are ready for enterprise deployment across LMS/LXP platforms and diverse learner audiences

SME Engagement & Content Development

  • Facilitate and lead SME working sessions to gather, structure, and refine content
  • Translate inputs into clear, learner-centered content and development assets
  • Guild SMEs toward focused, relevant, and outcome-aligned contributions
  • Identify and resolve content gaps or inconsistencies during the development process

Instructional Design Application

  • Apply advanced instructional design principles to ensure solutions effectively support learning objectives and behavior change
  • Align content, activities, and assessments to establish learning goals and success measures
  • Recommend enhancements to improve learner engagement, clarity, and retention within the defined solution approach
  • Ensure solutions balance learner experience, usability, and technical feasibility

Quality Assurance & Brand Alignment

  • Partner with L&D leadership to execute quality assurance processes and uphold brand standards
  • Conduct thorough reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment to design intent
  • Ensure all outputs meet standards for visual design, instructional integrity, accessibility, and user experience (UX)
  • Contribute to refinement of templates, tools, and development practices

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Learning Architects and Program Leads to align development work to strategy, program goals, and timelines
  • Provide input on feasibility, development timelines, and execution considerations
  • Maintain strong alignment across design, development, and delivery phase

Continuous Improvement & Development Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to improvement development efficiency, consistency, and scalability
  • Contribute to reusable assets, templates, and repeatable development frameworks

Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Education, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $88,400 - $119,600. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
