Senior Associate - Learning Experience Designer

Capital One’s Enterprise Learning & Development team is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to drive impactful and innovative solutions for our Job Family Learning team. In this role, you’ll partner with the business to translate intent into effective learning products using a customer-focused, iterative approach, and independently solve problems.

The Enterprise Learning & Development team is at the forefront of advancing Capital One’s talent across the company. The Learning Experience Designer plays a critical role in elevating our talent through the creation of learning products and assets that help our associates be great.

We are looking for someone who can independently drive learning initiatives with a product mindset, delivering data driven solutions through cross-functional collaboration to meet business and learner needs across more technical audiences. They are an expert in learning sciences, a learner advocate, and an active team player.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in training design or development delivery, or a combination of both
  • At least 1 year of experience with multimedia authoring tools like Articulate 360 or other online interactive e-Learning courseware
  • At least 1 year of experience applying instructional design in digital modalities
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience guiding learning solutions in a corporate setting
  • 1+ year of experience with mobile content creation/curation and delivery
  • 1+ year of experience using multimedia tools (Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or similar)
  • 1+ year of experience working with graphics tools (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar)
  • 1+ year of experience in project management

McLean, VA: $88,800 - $101,300 for Sr. Learning Associate Richmond, VA: $80,800 - $92,200 for Sr. Learning Associate

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
