Full-time position working 40 hours per week, includes insurance and time off benefits


Work schedule will be between 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday


We are seeking a caring, motivated, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team at our Explorer Academy in Daytona Beach. This role is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
  • Plan and lead daily activities aligned with curriculum goals
  • Create an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom environment where children feel safe and supported
  • Build strong relationships with children and families through open, respectful communication
  • Observe, document, and assess developmental progress to individualize learning
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom following all health, safety, and program policies
  • Ensure constant supervision of children both indoors and outdoors
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and concerns
  • Complete accurate records, including attendance, daily reports, and assessments

  • Collaborate with staff to plan special events and family engagement activities


Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred;
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum 1 year of early childhood experience
  • Experience working with children with disabilities
