Summary of Duties

The Relationship Banker is responsible for assisting all customers with new and existing depository accounts, personal lending, and transactional needs; cross selling products and services to customers. Follow Commercial Bank policies and procedures while providing excellent service to customers who choose to hold their relationship with Commercial Bank.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Included but are not limited to:

Works with new and existing customers to discuss and recommend Commercial Bank's products and services based on features and benefits to fit the customer's needs.

Creates, delivers, and discusses proposals for prospects and customers who have expressed interest in Commercial Bank's products and services, focusing on deposit and relationship growth.

Opens consumer and business depository accounts

Assist in the origination of mortgage and personal loan applications via face-to-face or over-the-phone borrower(s).

Assist in loan closings with borrower(s).

Communicate efficiently with peer departments to meet our customer needs, resolve issues, and ensure overall customer satisfaction.

Maintains product knowledge for all of Commercial Bank's products and services and the procedures for selling, opening, and servicing those products and services related to deposits and consumer lending.

Conducts depository and customer changes accurately and efficiently.

Processes customer transactions as needed within the branch.

Delivers on Commercial Bank's customer service promise and follows up timely.

Maintain trust by keeping all customer's business confidential.

Ensures compliance with all internal controls and established policies and procedures. Recommends changes to procedures to streamline processes.

Responsible for completing required BAI training annually

Other Functions

1. Familiar with and abides by all bank regulations including but not limited to BSA and OFAC.

2. Adhere and comply with all Bank Policies.

3. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Education/Certification/Licensing:

Associate's Degree in Business or related field preferred.

NMLS - Must be able to become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) within 3 months of hire.

Notary Public - Must be able to obtain Notary Public certification within 3 months of hire.

Experience:

Minimum requirement of 2 years of banking or related experience required.

Other Requirements:

Ability to multitask

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates problem-solving abilities

Good understanding of all Commercial Bank's depository products and services

Good understanding of the Bank's Core system and MS Office Suite

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and analytical skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image.

Equipment Used

PC, laser printer, calculator, copy machine, scanner, mobile devices such as iPad and iPhone or similar

Software Used

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe Reader, Horizon XE, FIS Image Centre, BAI Learning & Development and various other financial institution platform systems.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to work in front of a computer for extended periods of hours; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Must be able to travel from location to location throughout the office and to other bank offices, clients, outside meetings. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

In-person work is required however telework exceptions may be applicable. Regular and prompt attendance is required.
