About This Role

The Teacher plays a pivotal role in cultivating a dynamic classroom environment, coordinating educational efforts, and managing day-to-day operations. To achieve this, Teachers must be adept at understanding children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, ensuring a safe and engaging space where children can thrive and reach their full potential. Effective communication with both children and adults is essential for meeting children's needs, guiding teacher assistants, and addressing parental concerns.


What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement educational curriculum by designing engaging classroom activities grounded in developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  • Foster a collaborative team spirit by exemplifying excellence in teaching and providing coaching to support teaching team success.
  • Plan and execute individual and group activities tailored to each age group to encourage active engagement and cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Maintain regular, open communication with parents through casual discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure that all center policies and state regulations are meticulously upheld.
  • Establish and maintain a healthy classroom environment, including adhering to strict hygiene and cleanliness standards and ensuring the safety and security of the children.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to guarantee that they are following planned activities, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Accurately maintain records, forms, and files.
  • Develop a personalized professional development plan to consistently pursue quality improvement.

Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as basic computer skills.
  • Able to work with high energy and excel in team environments (staff, children, and parents) while fostering a collaborative spirit.
  • A thorough understanding of child development is required.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.
  • Must pass a full background check and health screening.
  • A relevant Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or a related field of study, with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE, is required.
  • Able to perform tasks that involve frequent walks, hand use, object handling, tool use, talking, and hearing voices at various volumes. Additionally, tasks may require kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling.
  • A specific vision ability is required, including the capacity to see at close range and up to a certain distance, distinguish colors, possess peripheral vision, and have depth perception.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
