Role Description The Learning & Development Assistant plays a key role in supporting the professional growth and continuing education of ByrdAdatto attorneys and staff. This position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and enhancing the firmโ€™s internal training programs, ensuring that all attorneys and employees have access to high quality learning opportunities that align with their professional development goals. Additionally, the Learning & Development Assistant provides logistical and administrative support for external training initiatives.


A core responsibility of this role is overseeing Continuing Legal Education (โ€œCLEโ€) compliance for all attorneys licensed in Texas and any additional jurisdictions. This includes tracking CLE requirements, monitoring deadlines, and proactively communicating with attorneys to ensure timely completion of their CLE obligations. The Learning & Development Assistant also manages the accreditation process for the firmโ€™s internal training programs by drafting and submitting accreditation proposals to the Texas State Bar and maintaining compliance with CLE reporting standards.


Beyond CLE-related duties, the Learning & Development Assistant is responsible for organizing and coordinating both in-person and virtual training sessions. This includes scheduling training events, securing venues or virtual platforms, and ensuring that materials, such as PowerPoint presentations, are up to date and tailored to each sessionโ€™s objectives. The role requires close collaboration with attorneys to modify and enhance presentation content for both internal and external audiences.


For external training programs, the Learning & Development Assistant assists with travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, and transportation, ensuring a seamless experience for attorneys attending or presenting at

conferences, seminars, or client trainings.


This position operates within the firmโ€™s People and Culture team, working closely with the HR Business Partner to support broader professional development initiatives. The Learning & Development Assistant reports directly to HR Business Partner and contributes to the firmโ€™s commitment to fostering a learning-centered environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:

โ€ข Lead, coordinate, and support internal training programs for attorneys and staff.

โ€ข Track, monitor, and communicate CLE compliance requirements for attorneys in Texas and additional

licensed jurisdictions.

โ€ข Prepare and submit accreditation proposals to the Texas State Bar for internal trainings.

โ€ข Assist in the planning and coordination of external training events, including booking travel arrangements.

โ€ข Collaborate with attorneys to update and refine internal and external PowerPoint presentations.

โ€ข Maintain training records and ensure accurate documentation of CLE compliance.

โ€ข Work closely with the HRBP on professional development initiatives.

โ€ข Provide administrative support to the People and Culture Team, as needed.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

โ€ข Associates Degree preferred or work experience.

โ€ข Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Teams, Zoom, and Copilot.

โ€ข Extremely organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize their workload and work

well under pressure.

โ€ข Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

โ€ข Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter

โ€ข Reliable, professional, strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exercise sound judgment.

โ€ข Prefer one year of experience in a professional administrative role but not necessary.
