Assistant Center Director - The Learning Experience Andover
Location:
The Learning Experience - Andover, MA
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $50,000-$60,000 per year (based on experience and credentials)
Credential Required: Director I & Director II

As an Assistant Center Director, you will partner with the Center Director to support daily operations, develop teaching teams, maintain licensing compliance, and ensure the highest quality educational experience for every child.
Role Responsibilities
People Leadership
  • Recruit, interview, and schedule teacher candidates while building a pipeline of future talent
  • Conduct classroom observations and evaluations while providing coaching and professional feedback
  • Ensure the L.E.A.P. Curriculum is implemented with consistency and quality throughout the center
  • Create weekly staff schedules and maintain compliance with classroom ratios
  • Support teacher development through mentoring, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback
  • Manage onboarding, employee records, and personnel documentation in accordance with Massachusetts EEC regulations

Center Management
  • Ensure daily compliance with all Massachusetts EEC licensing requirements
  • Partner with the Center Director on enrollment growth, family retention, and operational success
  • Support family engagement initiatives and community outreach efforts
  • Monitor classroom quality and maintain high standards of health, safety, and education
  • Foster a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of early childhood leadership experience required (2+ years preferred)
  • Professional teaching experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Director I and Director II certification required
  • Strong understanding of Massachusetts EEC regulations and licensing standards
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
