HVAC Instructor - Future Opportunities

Schedule Options: Full-time & Part-time | Day and Evening Shifts

Licensure Required: OSHA 10-hour safety certification (within 6 months of hire); EPA refrigerant certification (within 6 months of hire)

Position Summary
As an HVAC Instructor, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality, subject matter instruction in a classroom and hands-on lab setting. You'll mentor students, support curriculum development, and help foster a culture of learning and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned classes and labs in a welcoming, student-centered environment

  • Accurately document student attendance, grades, and evaluations
  • Communicate concerns and student issues to campus leadership
  • Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development
  • Assist with inventory and maintenance of classroom/lab tools and supplies
  • Use school-approved student retention strategies to support progress
  • Complete performance-based instructional modules as assigned
  • Promote collaboration and a positive classroom culture

What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on work experience
  • Willingness to obtain:
  • OSHA 10-hour safety certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • EPA refrigerant certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
  • A positive, flexible, and student-focused mindset

Preferred:
  • Prior classroom or lab teaching experience
  • CampusNexus experience
  • NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification

Schedule Options
Final schedules are determined based on campus needs, but a typical full-time schedule includes:
  • Monday - Thursday, Split Shift: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM AND 4:30 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Fridays Off!
