Job description

We are currently looking for a Full Time HVAC Journeyman Apprentice to join our HVAC Refrigeration Sub Unit team located at the WinStar World Casino and Resort.
Summary:
Assists experienced journeyman with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems under supervision. Job duties include running tools, installing ductwork, diagnosing problems, and performing preventive maintenance, while learning the trade through hands-on work. Key responsibilities also include following instructions, maintaining a professional attitude, and adhering to safety guidelines in various working conditions. This role is for a person who is learning HVACR trade from a skilled employer and agrees to work specified period (typically 1-4 years) until eligibility of journeyman licensure testing. Most candidates will have 1 year eligibility window to test and earn journeyman's license once qualified.
Responsibilities:
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types

- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics

* Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
* Assists HVAC Journeyman to test and treat water systems/repair heat and air system/power washing HVAC equipment
* Assist the HVAC Journeyman with installation and repair of heating and air equipment
* Assist the HVAC Journeyman in troubleshooting system errors
* Perform lockout tag-out per department standards
* Performs chemical application per manufacturer's instructions
* Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests including replacement, and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested by customers
* Assists and learns end to end testing, starting up, commissioning and servicing on assigned projects
* Assists with orientation, special activities and training on specific procedures, tasks or equipment
* Help install HVAC systems in commercial and residential buildings
* Conduct preventive maintenance, clean air ducts, replace air filters, and assist with repairs on various components like boilers, chillers, and air handlers
* Operate a variety of hand and power tools for installation and repair tasks
* Pick up and deliver tools and materials, and execute tasks as directed by a supervisor
* Work with experienced technicians to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems
* Adhere to safety guidelines, including those for working at heights, in confined spaces, and with power tools
* Upon eligibility to obtain journeyman license, a test completed by supervisors to verify employee competencies. All competencies will be verified by department's licensed contractor before signing off for journeyman testing.
