Job Description

Position: Experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Led by Dr. Mary Zoe Collier, our practice blends professional excellence with a nurturing, spiritually uplifting atmosphere. And yes our team wouldn't be complete without Buddy, our loving emotional support dog , who brings smiles and comfort to everyone he meets.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As our RDA, you’ll be at the heart of our clinical team. The following tasks are essential, compliant with TSBDE guidelines:
✅ Clinical Skills
- Provide chairside assistance with proper four-handed techniques under direct supervision
- Take and process digital X-rays using Dexis (with valid radiography certification)
- Prepare treatment areas and sterilize instruments following CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols
- Create temporary crowns and take preliminary impressions (as permitted by law)
- Support assist providers, suctioning, and tissue retraction during procedures, etc.
- Perform coronal polishing (if certified through approved course)
- Maintain safe and organized operatory spaces with infection control best practices
️ Administrative Competence
- Document treatments, chart accurately, and manage scheduling in Dentrix
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and coworkers
