Business Partner โ Sales Learning
As the Business Partner โ Sales Learning you will lead the delivery and execution of successful training solutions that are aligned with the specific needs of Johnson Controls' newly hired and tenured sales team members. You will work alongside key partners to meet the training needs and collaborate in the design of detailed training modules to meet overall program goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships with key stakeholders within each of the stakeholder departments, including Management and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Build and monitor training roadmap for specific roles and areas of focus.
- Design training programs for new hire and tenured employees within roles, leveraging content from peer Sales, Sales Trainers, and partnering with global team members.
- Learn the JCI learning design approach to provide blended learning solutions that can be easily updated and repurposed to stay current with product, sales tools, and process changes.
- Participate in the continuous update and development of sales learning curriculum and learning journeys.
- Project manage training sessionsโpart of larger sales programsโwhile interfacing with internal and external partners to achieve program objectives.
- Deliver learning sessions, which may include live classroom and webโbased sessions (synchronous or asynchronous).
- Adapt instruction and facilitation styles and approaches to fit the needs of the audience, content, and technology.
- Facilitate learning of materials, processes, and systems.
- Develop subject matter expertise in new sales methodologies, technology, products, or processes; be the SME in developing learning materials for these new areas using the Learning & Development Process.
- Arrange for an appropriate learning environment for the presentation of material, including room, audiovisual equipment, technical equipment, web access, handouts, etc.
- Evaluate existing programs for effectiveness and redesign solutions when necessary; leverage measurement and evaluation techniques to drive curriculum impact.
- Measure results of sales training using appropriate methods for participant reaction, learning amount, and ability to demonstrate new skills in the classroom.
- Report results of measurements and evaluations to Program Leaders and Learning & Development Managers.
- Develop and present recommendations for continuous improvements to sales and business training.
- Provide constructive feedback to learners on understanding new materials and performance in the classroom.
- Turn in and maintain records, prepare reports and correspondence as required.
- Continuously update and improve delivery and coaching skills, including the use of new technologies for knowledge sharing and skill building.
- Collaborate with and support a strong global team environment.
- Leverage innovative learning technologies and platforms to deploy learning, including the Johnson Controls Learning Hub, LMS, and uLearn.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in learning design, training, and technical field operations; act as a thought leader and iterate solutions.
- Work closely with team members to collaborate on design and development.
Qualifications
- Holds a Bachelorโs Degree in Business, Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, Engineering, or related technical discipline. A Masterโs degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Sales or Operations Training, Sales Engineering, or Sales Enablement roles; 4+ years in Training Development and Delivery.
- Previous Sales and Operations training experience preferred.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with grey areas; must flex on time to accommodate a global team.
- Detail-oriented and able to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Collaborative, building true partnerships with learning designers, program managers, and business partners.
- Ambitious, willing to assume authority, take risks, and set clear career goals.
- Professional with personal ethics, quality work, and a positive attitude.
- Articulate with strong writing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC, Fire, and Security equipment and related technologies, products, and markets is a huge plus.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Salary Range: $90,000โ$110,000.
