Description:
Sun West School Division invites applications for an Educational Assistant in Eaton School, Eaton, SK.  This is a permanent position, 3 hours per day, every student day, starting August 31, 2026.
The successful candidate will be required to support the physical, cognitive, and medical needs of students as assigned. Duties may include personal care, lifting, transferring, and supporting medical needs such as diabetic monitoring, assisting with feeding tubes, seizure response, and monitoring and following student-specific health care plans. Responsibilities may also include assisting with toileting or hygiene routines, supporting behaviour needs, and implementing activities as recommended by occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists. The candidate must be physically able to lift, turn, transfer, and assist students as required.



Experience working with individuals with cognitive or physical limitations is considered an asset. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build rapport and maintain a calm, patient demeanor while supporting student needs. Post-secondary education in a related field, such as an Educational Assistant Certificate, is also considered an asset.


The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a teamincluding classroom teachers, student support teachers, the principal, and other professionalsto assist in the delivery and implementation of educational programs and services. These supports are intended to promote the integration, growth, learning, safety, and well-being of students with intensive needs.
Salary and benefits for this position will be in accordance with the current Collective Agreement of CUPE Local 4802.
Wage Range: $21.28 to $24.12 per hour.
