Job description

Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools is inviting applications for 1.0 FTE Positive Learning Behaviour Teacher (PLB) commencing August 25, 2026.ย  The Positive Learning Behaviour Teacher will be a member of the Learning/Student Service team and work collaboratively with school teams and provide job-embedded support. The team will assist in teaching and supporting school-wide positive learning behaviours in Core, Plus, Focused, Specialized and Intensive levels within the division Student Learning Model.ย 

The role of the Positive Learning Behaviour Teacher will be to:

  • Support the facilitation of school wide regulation strategies
  • Provide instruction around positive learning behaviours aligned with curriculum alongside classroom teachers as well as focused groups
  • Offer targeted strategies, conduct observations, collaborate and co-plan with teachers
  • Support the facilitation of professional learning opportunities for all staff in collaboration with the coordinator

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate
  • Commitment to the ideals and principles of Catholic education
  • Minimum of five years teaching experience
  • Ability to make contributions to an integrated team of professionals as well as provide leadership in the area of student engagement, social emotional learning (SEL) and culturally responsive school practices
  • Strong understanding and implementation of the Student Learning Model
  • Demonstrate flexibility to prioritize and respond to the emerging social emotional needs of students
  • An understanding of trauma invested practices
  • Support facilitation of professional development with the team
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
