Familiarity with classroom technology, learning management systems (LMS), and digital collaboration tools is often important. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process insurance opportunities within your binding authority and escalate cases that require leadership approval.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Underwriters to obtain clarity or approvals for cases that exceed local authority.
  • Support the underwriting of new policies and renewals in line with company guidelines and risk appetite.
  • Stay informed on market trends and HSB's suite of insurance products to support informed underwriting decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with BDRs and Underwriters on large regional accounts, assisting in broker communications, negotiations, and the delivery of tailored solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education required; college diploma or university degree preferred, ideally in business, finance, insurance, or a related field.
  • Actively pursuing or completion of the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or an equivalent insurance credential is a strong asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused attitude.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Basic understanding of insurance and underwriting processes is preferred, along with a demonstrated willingness to learn and grow.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with underwriting systems and platforms is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Bilingual capabilities (English and French) is an asset.

  • Competitive company-paid flexible health and dental benefits, starting on your first day
  • Flexible dollars provided by the company to put towards a Health Spending Account and/or Wellness Spending Account
  • Wellness program with tools and resources supporting your mental, physical, and financial wellbeing - on and off the job
  • Participation in the DC Pension Plan with a progressive employer contribution scale based on tenure starting at 4%, plus optional company match in the RRSP plan
  • Generous time off including vacation, personal days, unplanned time, Statutory Holidays and company-wide early closure half-days
  • Learning and development programs and resources, including unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning, Education Assistance Program, and reimbursement for professional fees
  • Employee Referral Program and Recognition Program
