Job description

Position Overview
The P&L Way Learning & Development Specialist Sr Designs and delivers learning experiences that help people grow, leaders lead, and teams improve. Partners with leaders across the business to build the skills, behaviors, and mindset needed to strengthen performance, develop talent, and sustain a culture of continuous improvement. This role plays a critical part in helping Huntsville bring the P&L Way to life by creating meaningful learning experiences that turn principles into everyday practice.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6:30 AM - 5:00PM
Responsibilities
  • Partners with business leaders to identify workforce, leadership, and organizational capability gaps and develops learning solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Designs, develops, facilitates, and continuously improves learning experiences that strengthen employee engagement, performance, leadership capability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Leads the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of site orientation, onboarding, and development programs to accelerate employee readiness and integration into the culture.
  • Supports the development and deployment of leadership learning experiences that strengthen leadership capability, accountability, coaching, and employee development.
  • Develops and maintains learning pathways, training plans, certification processes, competency frameworks, and other systems that support workforce development and organizational capability.
  • Partners with P&L Way leaders and operational teams to develop learning solutions that support adoption of P&L Way principles, continuous improvement practices, and a culture of operational excellence.
  • Builds facilitator and trainer capability through coaching, observation, feedback, and train-the-trainer processes to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences across the site.Develops learning materials, facilitator guides, participant resources, job aids, and other tools that support knowledge transfer and application on the job.
  • Evaluates learning effectiveness using participant feedback, observations, business metrics, and other available data; recommends and implements improvements as needed.
  • Administers and maintains learning systems, training records, learning management tools, and reporting processes that support sitewide learning and development activities.
  • Supports communication, reinforcement, and change adoption efforts that help learning translate into sustained behavior change and business results.
  • Serves as a trusted learning and development partner to leaders, helping create a culture where people continuously learn, develop, and improve.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of learning/development experience

OR
  • Master's degree and no experience

OR
  • At least 3 years of learning/development experience
