As a Hunter Recruitment Coordinator (Learning and Development Specialist 2) in Salem Oregon, you will work with Education staff, agency partners, local sporting groups, and volunteers to deliver statewide programs, with a focus on Oregon's major population centers.
This role develops and implements shooting sports, hunting, archery, and bowhunting programs. It demands sound judgment, problemsolving abilities, and clear guidance to the public. Interactions directly influence public and partner perceptions of agency programs. The Coordinator must work effectively with individuals of diverse skill levels and backgrounds, treating all customers, volunteers, stakeholders, and coworkers with professionalism, dignity, and respect. Duties include:
Develop hunting and shooting skills-based programs
Coordinate delivery of shooting sports and hunting workshops
Serve as the Department's primary facilitator and coordinator

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Five years of work experience designing, planning, and implementing adult education courses, or applying web-based technologies in a blended learning environment;
- OR -
Option 2: Five years of work experience designing, planning, and implementing organizational development strategies.
Equivalency Note: A bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or related field may substitute for three years of the work experience stated above.
Desired Attributes
Experience developing and implementing curriculum or training programs
Experience creating and implementing strategies to increase participation in hunting and shooting sports
Experience developing, scheduling, conducting and evaluating training programs
Demonstrated knowledge of hunter education, shooting sports, hunting, archery, bowhunting, equipment, and range safety
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends regarding hunting and shooting sports
Experience with Microsoft Office and data/presentation software
