Esta oportunidad de empleo es para contratacion directa con nuestro socio - Boys and Girls de Puerto Rico.


Descripcion:
El/La Coordinador(a) de Ninos con Necesidades Especiales ayuda al programa a brindar servicios de alta calidad para ninos con discapacidades y sus familias. Esta anclado en las regulaciones de servicios de Head Start, especificamente la regulacion que requiere un enfoque coordinado en todo el programa "para garantizar la participacion plena y efectiva de todos los ninos con discapacidades, incluidos, entre otros, los ninos elegibles para los servicios bajo la Ley de Educacion para Personas con Discapacidades (IDEA)".

Responsabilidades:
Profundizado en el enfoque coordinado y la legislacion de: la Parte B que incluye disposiciones de servicios para ninos con discapacidades de 3 anos o mas. La Parte C, cubre los servicios para bebes y ninos pequenos con discapacidades o retrasos y sus familias.
En coordinacion con la agencia de la Parte C y/o LEA, garantizar la identificacion oportuna, referidos, servicios identificados y apoyo de transicion para ninos con discapacidades. Acceso al portal LEA MIPE. Participacion en la redaccion de Metas y Objetivos del IEP en MIPE. Revision anual de las metas y objetivos del IEP en el portal del MIPE.
Garantizar el cumplimiento de los acuerdos colaborativos para las agencias de la Parte C y/o LEA.
Contribuir al reclutamiento programado regular y continuo de ninos.
Necesita estar familiarizado con los plazos, el proceso y los requisitos de elegibilidad.
Cernimientos de ninos.
Apoyar la realizacion de todos los cernimientos y evaluaciones infantiles requeridos, incluidos los requisitos de 45 y 90 dias para ninos nuevos y evaluaciones de progreso trimestrales para todos los ninos.
Referidos y evaluacion de ninos.
Servicios coordinados para ninos con discapacidades y sus familias.
Brindar consultas constantes y continuas al personal docente para apoyar la instruccion individualizada para ninos con IEP o comportamientos desafiantes.
Realizar un seguimiento de los datos de los resultados del IEP y el IFSP en todo el programa, los salones y los centros, analizar los datos y hacer recomendaciones de desarrollo del programa basadas en el analisis.

Requisitos:
Bachillerato en Educacion de la Primera Infancia o bachillerato en un campo relacionado con al menos seis (6) cursos en educacion de la primera infancia y experiencia en la ensenanza de ninos en edad preescolar o certificacion de ensenanza preescolar otorgada por el estado con experiencia en la ensenanza de ninos en edad preescolar. Preferiblemente Maestria.
Experiencia previa en supervision/entrenamiento en un entorno de primera infancia.
Se requiere un examen fisico y verificaciones de antecedentes para este puesto.
